One World Period.- let’s celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day together

Dear all,

We’d like to invite you to One World Period.- the menstrual health world’s answer to One World Together.

During the COVID-19 crisis community is more important than ever before. One World Period. is an opportunity for the global menstrual health community to share encouragement and inspiration- through celebrating diversity, collaboration and unity, we become stronger at a time when we are needed more than ever.

The day will feature entertainment and educational sections co-created by the menstrual health community and the wider network of people who care about restoring power to the most vulnerable women, girls and people with periods.

Current features include:

  • Inter-generational Period Chat
  • How to bake vulva fairy cakes
  • Questions and answers with Menstrual Health experts
  • Community Yoga
  • Period Poetry
  • Panel Discussion on Why do periods matter?

We’re also featuring musicians and other creatives performing on the broader theme of empowerment- the reason we’re passionate about periods.

Funds raised will go to ending period poverty and shame, with an emphasis of adapting and maintaining efforts to empower people with periods during COVID-19 and its aftermath. Vulnerable women, girls and people with periods are experiencing worsening marginalisation during the pandemic, and we must continue to build a world where everyone has choice and control over their own bodies.
