Resources
All of our resources are created by and with a diversity of young people and are available for everyone to use, for free. We can also help you design and evaluate menstrual health programmes, design and deliver training and capacity building, design and implement research, and develop policy. Just get in touch!
Faith-informed menstrual health resources
This collection of resources was created as part of the Faith-Informed Menstrual Health Project — a collaboration between Irise International, Dr. Maria Tomlinson at the University of Sheffield, Cysters, and DiverseCity Development Trust, with support from our friends at the Menstrual Health Project.
The resources available on this page were created in consultation with over 100 Muslim women from Sheffield and Rotherham. Guided by what women said they wanted to know and how they wanted the information presented, four key resources were developed covering:
-
Period pain & menstrual health conditions
-
How to talk to your doctor & advocate for yourself
-
Menstrual products
-
Diet and menstrual wellbeing
The resources are available to download in English, Urdu, and Arabic - and will soon be available in Somalian. Resources tailored specifically for Sikh communities are currently in development and will be added to this page in the near future!
This work is funded by the University of Sheffield.
