Learning Series
Here at Irise International, we want to help you understand menstrual justice as a core - but often overlooked - catalyst to gender justice. We invite you to explore menstrual justice as a wider issue of rights, bodily autonomy, public participation, education, healthcare, economic justice, movement power, and freedom from stigma and discrimination.

If you fund gender justice, you need to be thinking about menstrual justice.
Menstruation is too often treated as a niche issue or reduced to the provision of period products. But menstrual injustice is shaped by stigma and shame, education and healthcare, bodily autonomy, discrimination and public participation and by the systems and power structures that shape people’s lives.
Join Irise International for Beyond Period Poverty, a donor learning forum for funders who want to understand menstrual justice and its connections to: gender justice, youth leadership, health and education equity, poverty and economic justice, racial and disability justice, LGBTQ+ rights and movement-building. Together, we will learn from evidence, lived experience, youth leadership and grassroots activism. We will explore how donors can resource menstrual justice in ways that move beyond short-term fixes and help create lasting cultural, institutional and political change.
Whether menstrual justice is already part of your funding strategy or this is a new area of learning, this forum will offer fresh perspectives, practical insights and opportunities for connection.
