Celebrate International Day of the Girl

Join us at 6pm – 7pm (BST) / 8pm – 9pm (EAT) on October 11th at our “Your Day. My Future” event to hear from our CEO, Emily Wilson, and young women in the UK and Uganda about how your support will make a difference to girls’ futures.

Tickets to the event cost £3 and will support Irise’s work with marginalised young women and girls.

Sharitah Nakimuli

23-year-old Sharitah is a girl’s rights advocate based in Jinja, Uganda and is founder of the Girls’ Menarche Initiative. The Girls’ Menarche Initative breaks the silence on menstruation and helps young girls to freely express themselves. 

 

Heather Knox

18-year-old Heather is a period equality advocate based in Scotland in the UK, and is leading an initiative to empower those with menstrual health related issues through amplifying their experiences and advocating for better access to high quality health services.
