We establish local, sustainable access to a range of affordable sanitary products through training local people to act as entrepreneurs or suppliers. We currently offer a selection or reusable and disposable products and menstrual cups.
We also manufacture our own reusable sanitary pad in East Africa which we are able to sell at a significantly cheaper price than alternatives. |
“For many girls in Uganda and other developing countries, there is a monthly prison: that time of the month where they regret being young and healthy because they cannot afford basic needs.” Lack of affordable sanitary products limits girls’ ability to engage in education and employment. Girls either stay at home or resort to unhygienic alternatives including leaves, bits of old mattress and toilet paper. Affordable products mean that girls can menstruate with dignity and that they are free to run, dance and attend school during their period.
