We've introduced 3 of them below...
The DIY Triathlon...in Uganda!
Meet Autumn, she is currently one of our volunteers completing a work placement in Jinja, Uganda. After meeting many of the women and girls we work with, she felt inspired to create and take on her very own ‘DIY triathlon.’ She will be swimming, running and cycling a full triathlon distance along the source of the Nile in Uganda!
"This will be the first time I've done any challenge like this, and with only 3 weeks to train, I am not expecting it will be easy! And since the hashtag for International Day of The Girl is 'Do it in a dress', I will be doing exactly that for the entire event come rain or shine."
The Krypton Factor Assault Course!
Meet Sam, Zeb and Tom who will be taking on the Krypton Factor Assault Course to smash gender stereotypes by getting glammed up and then very grubby! Just imagine, 3 lads, 3 dresses, and 900 metres of energy sapping obstacles - all in the name of Female Empowerment. Before you buy your next pint, think of them, muddy, freezing cold, in a dress, on a Saturday afternoon and how far that money could go!
I’m taking on the mud slog because I understand and appreciate how lucky I am to have had the education and opportunities that I have had. I want to help create a world where this is the same for every girl and one where no girl is held back by something as trivial as her period.’
