Act for Change funding will enable us to catalyse a movement of young people, enabling them to change the conversation around periods locally and nationally so that the UK can become a place where everyone can realise their potential, unlimited by their periods.
We believe that young people are uniquely positioned to create and realise a vision of how our society can be a more equal and inclusive place. We're thrilled that the Act for Change fund has recognised the extraordinary leadership and vision of the young people within Irise who are working to end period poverty and shame for everyone in the UK within a generation.
The project was developed by our Advocacy Committee, with particular support from our Advocacy trustee, Sophie Rowson, who is an inspiring example of what can be achieved when we invite young women to the leadership table.
The funding will create opportunities for 50 young people to become advocates in their own communities, receiving tailored training and mentorship from our team. You can sign up to receive updates on this exciting opportunity here.
